From October 28 to 30, 2026, the 2026 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Smart Tourism Seminar was held in China. Zhou Shujian, Chairman of Hangzhou Water Show Culture Group, was invited to attend the event. Experts in cultural tourism and industry representatives from across the Asia-Pacific region gathered to exchange insights and engage in in-depth discussions on topics including smart tourism innovation, international cooperation in cultural tourism, and the development of AI in the tourism economy.

At the seminar, Hangzhou Water Show Culture Group showcased China's capabilities in the intelligent manufacturing of water and light shows, together with its solutions for bringing Chinese cultural tourism experiences to international markets.

The Group is recognized as a National Key Enterprise for Cultural Exports and has been selected as an outstanding case under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's initiative to enhance cultural tourism equipment and technology. Its subsidiary, Hangzhou West Lake Fountain Equipment Complete Set Co., Ltd., holds a Special Class Qualification for fountain and water feature engineering and is recognized as a Specialized and Sophisticated SME and a National High-Tech Enterprise.

With extensive experience in providing end-to-end solutions for nighttime cultural tourism, the Group has independently developed a millisecond-level intelligent control system and holds more than 100 patents. Its projects span over 100 cities across China and have been implemented in more than 20 overseas economies, demonstrating its well-established capabilities in international project delivery.

At this APEC seminar, the Group highlighted three core business segments:

Integrating fountain artistry, water screen projection, and independently developed intelligent control systems, the Group creates new urban landmarks for nighttime tourism. These spectacular experiences illuminate waterfront spaces, stimulate nighttime consumption, and enhance the overall appeal of cultural tourism destinations.

2. Comprehensive Nighttime Cultural Tourism Solutions

The Group provides integrated, one-stop services covering creative planning, equipment manufacturing, on-site construction, and long-term operation and maintenance. These solutions effectively address common industry challenges faced by many cultural tourism destinations, including limited nighttime entertainment offerings and increasingly homogeneous visitor experiences.

3. Intelligent Cultural Tourism Equipment Manufacturing

The Group independently develops and manufactures intelligent equipment for water shows and lighting performances, designed to accommodate diverse application scenarios both in China and overseas. Its modular solutions enable rapid deployment, significantly shortening overseas project timelines and helping control implementation costs.
